E-model is a self-contained learning system consisting of the e-guide (e-book), of the e-learning and e-teaching programs. This learning system chiefly serves the purpose of professional and vocational orientation, but it is also able to partially satisfy the requirements of vocational education. If the E-model is not enough, because it is limited by its mimicking, i.e. simulating of reality, then the didactical aims require to teach real systems, i.e. the applications running on the MIXI T and S-models, which suit better vocational education.
One of the building blocks of E-model is the e-guide, which contains general profession-specific and theoretical knowledge. It provides useful material that is hard to find even in textbooks. This electronic book is a huge knowledge base that contains all the information relevant to the given topic. The e-guide contains information that would not fit 300 A4 size pages. The e-guide gains more information each time a new MIXI application has been developed.
E-learning helps the student acquire knowledge using multimedia support in a knowledge-adaptive manner. The test-system supports a knowledge-adaptive process that enables the student to learn things suitable to what he already knows. The "textbook" contains pictures, motion pictures, animations and simulation program, and thereby it helps the student understand the material better, easier. It is permitted to go to pages already seen, but pages not yet seen can only be visited once the student has proven that he is has acquired the knowledge necessary to understand them. The e-learning programs can be used in the form of distance learning, or in a laboratory, with or without supervision.
E-teaching helps the work of the teacher in the process of multimedia-aided education. It is obvious that the presence and personality of the teacher can help a great deal in the process of efficient learning and teaching. The E-teaching program complements the E-learning programs, in that it enables the teacher to tune the usage of the E-learning programs, and it enables the teacher to identify students, to find their test results, and thereby to evaluate their accomplishments.
